Rhetoric School | Grades 9-12

What is the Rhetoric Stage?

Finally, during the rhetoric stage, when students in their teens begin to be concerned (to a fault) about self expression and appearance, why not teach them the art of rhetoric – the skills of wise and effective presentation in language? Rhetorical skill is the culmination of the process of learning. It brings knowledge and understanding together to be expressed in a wise, persuasive form.

The culmination of the rhetoric school education for students at Christian Heritage School is the completion of a senior thesis. "The good man speaking well" is the essential aim of a classical Christ-centered education.  At no point in the curriculum is this goal more tangible than during the final year as students research, write, and defend their senior theses.

Christian Heritage School is a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) and competes in the following sports:  Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Track, and Tennis.  Extracurricular activities also include an active student council, TAPPS high school academic and speech meets, and TMEA All-Region and All-State Choir and String Orchestra competitions.  Annual retreats, class trips, and mission trips add to the overall educational experience for rhetoric school students at Christian Heritage School.
